Refunds

If it is not for you,
say so.

Memberships are yearly, so a mistake should not cost you a year. This page is the whole policy, in three sentences and then some detail.

Last updated 1 September 2026

A first membership can be refunded in full within 30 days of buying it, no reason needed. A renewal can be refunded in full within 30 days of the renewal charge, no reason needed. After those windows we do not refund, and the service simply runs to the end of what you paid for.

The first 30 days

If you take out a membership and it is not what you hoped, tell us within 30 days of the purchase and the whole payment comes back. No forms, no reasons, no partial deductions. We would rather return the money than keep a payment you regret.

Renewals

Yearly renewals sneak up on people, and Paddle only emails a reminder before the charge where the law requires it. If a renewal goes through and you did not mean it to, tell us within 30 days of the renewal date and that payment comes back in full. That is longer than the law requires, and deliberately so: a renewal you did not want is not income we want.

After the windows

Outside those two windows we do not refund. Cancelling is always free and always online: the membership then runs to the end of its paid year and stops. One exception is written down in advance: if we ever retire the service, the unused part of what you paid comes back, whichever window you are in. And if something exceptional has happened, write to us anyway; we read everything, we just do not promise the answer in advance.

How to ask

Write to support@siparu.app, or use the link in your Paddle receipt, or go to paddle.net. Payments are processed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record, so the money returns the way it came, to the card or account that paid, and Paddle's receipt is your proof either way. How fast it appears is between Paddle and your bank; it is usually days, not weeks.

What a refund does, and does not do

A refund ends remote watching as soon as Paddle approves it, which is usually a few working days rather than the moment you write. A refund is also not the same as cancelling: cancel without asking for the money back, and the membership simply runs to the end of its paid year before it stops. And neither touches your boat: her recording, her history and her logbook are on board and stay there, whole, because they were never ours to hold. Take a membership again a year later and everything is still there.

None of this limits your statutory rights, including the 14-day cancellation right the law gives you when you first buy; our windows sit on top of those rights, they do not replace them.
